Client: Wellway Properties Limited

Architect: Smith Smalley Architects Ltd

The redevelopment of the former 1960’s shopping centre at Kennedy Way in Immingham is anchored by a new 30,000 square feet retail store, which is part of the regeneration of Immingham Town Centre. The development includes new stores for Poundstretcher and B&M Retail, together with two additional retail units and over 300 car parking spaces, all designed to provide a new retail destination for the Humberside Town.

We were appointed as Building Services and Utilities Consultants, which included the development of a strategy to service the new development and the procurement of utility services.

Key Challenge: As part of there development existing highways and road-traffic junctions were realigned to accommodate the increased volume of traffic, which required the extensive diversion of existing utility services.

We developed detailed proposals and coordinated the relocation of the affected utility services with the asset owners.
