Horncastle Trade Park

Client: G W Padley

Architect: C+A Design

Infrastructure:Solutions were appointed as Utilities Consultants to develop the utilities strategy and procurement of new utility services and connections, to serve the new Trade Park located around a mile to the south of Horncastle in Lincolnshire.

The development will consist of three units, ranging from 4,000ft 2 to 15,000ft 2 , with service areas and parking, including accessible car, over-sized van spaces and electric vehicle charging facilities.

Key challenge: The development site is in a rural location, with existing HV overhead lines crossing the site, presenting operational issues for the occupiers of the site, including restricting the movement of forklifts and mobile cranes operating within the vicinity of the overhead lines.

Infrastructure:Solutions negotiated with National Grid Electricity Distribution and obtained agreement for the below ground diversion of the HV lines being carried out at no cost to the Client.
